During the final check, Sturmanskie watches passes the water- resistance control as marked on the back case of the watch. However, the water-resistance of a watch is not permanent due to natural wear of the gaskets or accidental knocks to the case and crown. Therefore, the water resistance of your watch has to be regularly checked once per year by an authorized Sturmanskie Service Center. Before the contact with water:
Ensure that the crown is pressed back into position 0, or with screwed crowns, that it is screwed back carefully.
Do not use push button functions under water.
To undergo the watch-resistance test you may want to contact one of our authorized service centers.

CHANGING THE BATTERY
Depending on watch type and wearing habits, the batteries can last from two to five years. An empty battery must be changed as soon as possible to avoid the risk of leakage resulting in damage to the movement. We recommend that you take your watch to an authorized Sturmanskie Service Center to have the battery changed.
To keep your watch in perfect working conditions and make it last longer you should have your Aviator watch to undergo regular maintenance service. Generally, it is recommended to have a complete maintenance service.
